The castle of Corroy is open to the public: Every Sundays and public holidays from May 1st to September 30th, but also every Saturdays of July and August during the same period. From 10 to 12 h and from 14 to 18h.

The castle can also be visited by groups outside of normal opening hours, from January 1 to December 31, upon prior written request (hamal.trazegnies@skynet.be). In this case, the group rate applies as long as the group is made up of at least 20 people. Below this number, a flat fee of 180 euros will be charged.

The visit is guided and includes: a description of the medieval architecture of the fortress, a detailed historical presentation and an interior visit including: the large neo-Gothic vestibule of 1863, the 13th century Notre-Dame chapel, the 1848 marble dining room, the showcases of the former office, the painted canvas lounge, the grand salon, the small vestibule, the two "Polish lounges", the smoking room, the 18th century vestibule, the small dining room, the rampart vestibule with its "magic wardrobe" and the 13th century Romanesque room.

ACCESS PLAN TO THE CHATEAU DE CORROY

Located in Corroy-le-Château (Gembloux). Do not be confused with Corroy-le-Grand.

Access to Château de Corroy

1) Via E 411 Motorway (Brussels-Luxembourg and vice versa)

Take exit no. 11 and turn towards Gembloux. Pass through the tunnel under Gembloux station and continue towards Charleroi. 5 km beyond Gembloux, take the small country road to the left (direction: Corroy-le-Château 1 km). The castle park is easy to find, as the height of the trees exceeds that of the village roofs.

2) Via E 42 Motorway (Aachen-Liège-Mons-Paris)

a) Coming from Paris-Mons

Take exit no. 15 (Fleurus) and turn left towards Fleurus-Gembloux. 3 km after Tongrinne, turn right towards Corroy-le-Château and continue as in 1 above.

b) Coming from Aachen-Liège

Take exit no. 13 (Spy) and turn left towards Nivelles. 1 km beyond Mazy, turn right towards Corroy-le-Château. The first park you come across is the castle park.
